Six succumb to COVID-19, death toll reaches 257

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 2: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed six COVID-19 related deaths.

Six persons, four females and two males succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Four females, a 40-year-old each of Chitwan and Bhaktapur, a 92-year-old of Tanahun and a 77-year-old of Rupandehi and two males aged 77 of Sindhupalchowk and 65 of Rupandehi, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 257.
