CDO of Jumla tests positive for COVID-19

Chief District Officer of Jumla Bhupendra Thapa has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. CDO Thapa had given his swab sample for test this morning and the results arrived this evening.

Chief District Officer in Kathmandu, Janakraj Dahal, informed that the standards on operation of takeaway foods were endorsed on Thursday. The standards were prepared by a team led by Assistant District Officer Janakraj Bhatta.

Dr KC postpones Satyagraha  

Senior orthopedic surgeon Prof Dr Govinda KC has put off his Satyagraha. The postponement of the strike follows increasing COVID-19 infection cases, according to a statement issued today by Dr KC. He at a press conference on August 16 had announced a strike beginning August 27 in Jumla district.    

CAN solicits applications for eight coaches including a head coach

The position of head coach has remained vacant after Umesh Patwal left the job. Association Chair Chatur Bahadur Chand said applications have been solicited for the post since the training of the national team has been affected in absence of head coach for a long time.
