Restriction eased and extended up to September 16 in Baitadi  

A meeting of the District COVID Crisis Management Centre and District Security Committee held at the District Administration Office Baitadi on Sunday decided to ease and extend the restriction enforcement up to September 16.  

Over 2,000 Nepal Police personnel infected with coronavirus

Police Spokesperson SSP Kuber Kadayat shared that Kathmandu Valley recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases among the security personnel. A total of 624 cases were recorded in the three districts of the Valley. Among them, 558 were undergoing treatment.

Bir Hospital is now designated for COVID-19 treatment

Dr Gautam added that the regular health care services delivered from the Bir Hospital would be provided from the National Trauma Centre. With the latest move of the government, even the patients of the Bir Hospital would be shifted to the National Trauma Centre.

Minister Bhattarai donates Rs 50,000 to acid attack survivor Khatun  

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has donated Rs 50,000 to acid attack survivor Muskan Khatun. He provided such assistance on the occasion of his birthday today. The Minister called Muskan and her father to his office in Singha Durbar and handed the amount to her, it has been learnt.

Work on the Bardibas-Simara electric railway continues amid lockdown over COVID-19 pandemic. The national pride project has been divided into 17 parts from Bardibas to Gujara of Rautahat. Under the section, construction of 15 small and big bridges is underway.

Karnali State gaining pace on health infrastructures  

When the spread of coronavirus began in the country, there were only 17 ICU beds and six ventilators in the health facilities of Jumla and Surkhet. The only biggest hospital in the State, Surkhet had no adequate ICU beds and ventilator service. 

Bagmati State provides relief materials to Lidi landslide survivors 

Minister for Social Development from Bagmati State, Yubaraj Dulal, has handed over the relief materials to the survivors of Lidi landslide. The relief materials were provided to the Bagmati State by Hope Airlines, Hope Mean family and social worker Wangchuk Rapten Lama.

A man infected with Corona Virus has died this morning while undergoing treatment at Chitwan medical college hospital. The 70-year-old was resident of ward no. 15 in Bharatpur municipality.    

Macchindranath chariot to be pulled at 3:00 pm today 

The chariot of Macchindranath, revered as the god of rain and good times, will be pulled at 3:00 pm today. It will be pulled from the current position in Pulchowk to the Sorhakhutte pati in front of Lalitpur metropolitan office.
