Two die in accidents in Saptari  

The deceased has been identified as Amrita Devi Yadav,24, a resident of Rupani rural municipality, ward no. 3, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafley.

Five local levels in Kavre sealed off  

Five more local levels in Kavrepalanchowk district have been sealed off to check the surge in Corona Virus infection. Dhulikhel, Panauti, Paanchkhal municipalities, and Roshi and Bumlu rural municipalities have been shut down.

Infection and fatality rises in Bhaktapur, 95 infected in home isolation   

Rate of infection as well as death due to COVID-19 continues to rise in Bhaktapur. As of Friday, 271 people have died of COVID-19 in the district, according to District Health Office, Bhaktapur.     So far, 17,576 have been infected and the number of active cases in 4,555. Of them 4,134 are in home isolation and others in hospital and institutional isolation. As of today, 12,990 have recovered from the virus, Chief of the Office Krishna Mijar said. 

Medical shop sealed for cheating customers   

A medical shop found selling medical goods double the maximum retail price has been sealed off. The District Administration Office, Makwanpur shut down the shop after it was found selling oxymeter in double price.    

UN, its partners in Nepal launch emergency COVID-19 plan, call for int'l solidarity

In a press release issued today, they said the Nepal COVID-19 Response Plan was launched, calling for US dollars 83.7 million to mobilize an emergency response over the next three months to assist 750,000 of the most vulnerable people affected by the pandemic.
