Hetauda, May 22: A medical shop found selling medical goods double the maximum retail price has been sealed off. The District Administration Office, Makwanpur shut down the shop after it was found selling oxymeter in double price.
The Sanwi medico located at Rapti road of Hetauda was sealed off on Friday. Also health worker at the medical shop Nisha Acharya,25, of Hetauda-7 and Manita Malla,18, of Hetauda-9 have been taken into custody for necessary action, according to Assistant Chief District Officer Chiranjibi Sharma.
The fraud came to light in a monitoring carried out by a team led by Assistant CDO Sharma, including members of the consumers interest protection forum. A case has been initiated under the black marketing offense against the proprietors of the medical shop.
Also on Friday, 28 vehicles were taken under control for defying the prohibitory order.
