The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan has urged one and all not to launch a fundraising campaign on their own for the COVID-19 cause. 

NC leader Air dies of COVID-19 in Kanchanpur 

Constituency-2 secretary of Nepali Congress in the district, Sudarshan Air, died of COVID-19. The 52-year old died at Seti Province Hospital, Dhangadhi while receiving treatment last night.

Social organizations provide oxygen   

Various social organizations here have begun supplying oxygen to different hospitals in the district. They took the initiative after the hospitals witnessed shortage of oxygen with surge of COVID-19 patients.    

Lamjung hospital sets up oxygen plant

     Hospital chief Hemanta Shrestha said, "The works on oxygen plant were accomplished in a day. We began it in the afternoon and completed at 10:00 pm. Now, the oxygen would be distributed within two days."    

Fugitive involved in Rhino poaching arrested  

A man on the run since being sentenced to jail after being found guilty of Rhino poaching has been arrested. Sagar Praja known as Birendra Singh, a resident of Kalika municipality in Chitwan was arrested by the Chitwan National Park authorities.  

Doctors suggest to test early   

Doctors have suggested one and all to immediately get themselves tested after they suffer cough, cold, fever and body ache. This suggestion comes in the wake of a spike in the COVID-19 infections in the second wave that has hit the country. 

Woman dies after falling off cliff   

A woman has died after falling off a cliff here on Saturday.  The woman had gone to collect green fodder in the nearby jungle when the incident took place.   

Call to pay attention to child psychology 

As educational institutions including schools and colleges remain shut due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has had direct impact on the children and youths. Though students in the urban centres have continued their education with online classes, students in the remote and rural parts of the country are deprived of it.
