The Lakshya Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district has distributed food items to the economically disadvantaged families in rural areas.     

Swamp deer not in sight for months in CNP

Bahrasinghe (swap deer) which was kept at the open cage in the Chitwan National Park (CNP) is not visible for the past eight months. According to CNP Information Officer Lokendra Adhikari, the animal vanished from the sight along with wild buffalo.

Four more succumb to COVID-19 in Banke

For COVID-19 infected people have died during treatment in different hospitals of Banke last night. Two patients died in Bheri hospital in Nepalgunj, one in Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur and one in the United Hospital, Nepalgunj, according to District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre.  

Karnali cabinet gets full shape  

The Karnali provincial council of ministers has finally got full shape. The provincial government has added one more ministry and appointed two ministers to give full shape to the cabinet.  

Tulasi farming initiated on environment day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, commercial farming of Tulasi or basil plant has been initiated. The farming has been started at Bharatpokhari in Pokhara sub-metropolis-33.   

Four arrested with brown sugar 

The District Police Office, Surkhet has arrested four persons in possession of brown sugar. The four were arrested from Birendranagar, Surkhet.  

NRNA donated 428 oxygen concentrators arrive 

An additional 428 oxygen concentrators bought with financial support of the members of the Non-resident Nepalis Association and diaspora Nepali community arrived here on Saturday evening. The oxygen concentrators were bought with funds raised by the campaign initiated by the NRNA to meet the rising demand of medical oxygen for COVID-19 patients in Nepal.
