DLA demands immediate vaccination to all legal practitioners  

The Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA) has demanded immediate vaccination against COVID-19 to legal practitioners who are working in frontline for the safeguarding of the constitution and law in pandemic.

President Bhandari issued the Ordinance on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in accordance with the Article 114(1) of the Constitution of Nepal, according to a press statement released by Office of the President-Shital Niwas.

It’s not right of legal practitioners to decide appointment of judge: CJ Rana

He has urged advocate who has registered a writ claiming that 11 judges of the Supreme Court could not be part of the hearing the HoR-related cases to withdraw the petition. The Chief Justice has also warned that the petitioner would face action on the contempt of court charge if the writ was not taken back.
