Kathmandu, June 7 : The Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA) has demanded immediate vaccination against COVID-19 to legal practitioners who are working in frontline for the safeguarding of the constitution and law in pandemic.
Congratulating to the newly-appointed minister for health Sher Bahadur Tamang, also a legal practitioner and former minister, DLA submitted him a memorandum calling for prompt arrangement for vaccination to lawyers.
A team headed by DLA general secretary Laxmi Devi Dahal Rawal drew the attention of Minster for Health Tamang in view of heightened risk of coronavirus.
As many as 750 legal practitioners were inoculated with first dose of vaccine in the first vaccination drive. They have yet to receive the second dose as the stipulated time for the same has already passed.
