Kathmandu, June 6: The Supreme Court on Sunday issued an interim order not to remove Krishna Thapa of Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal as the Gandaki Province Assembly member.
A single bench of Justice Dr Kumar Chudal issued the order not to implement the decision of relieving Thapa of his post. With the decision, Thapa is reinstated as the Province Assembly member.
The interim order mentioned not to implement all the decision regarding relieving Thapa of the post as well as other information and notice related to this until the final decision over the issue.
Gandaki Province Assembly member Thapa had filed writ petition at the SC demanding his reinstatement as the action taken by the party against him was unlawful.
The Rastriya Janamorcha had removed Thapa from the post after taking action against him, saying Thapa supported Chief Minister of the Province, Prithvi Subba Gurung, of the CPN (UML) against party’s decision
