Ten health posts in Suryabinayak given oxygen concentrators 

Ten health posts in Suryabinayak Municipality of Bhaktapur have been given oxygen concentrators. Guardians of the Angeles (GDA), the US-based charitable organisation, in support of the Volunteers Nepal national group, provided an oxygen concentrator each to ten health facilities, according to Municipality social development committee coordinator and ward 8 chair Kiran Thapa. Each device is worth around Rs 1.2 million, it is said.  

Price of yellow metal goes down by Rs 1,600 per tola  

The price of yellow metal has decreased by Rs 1,600 per tola in Nepali market today. The hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 92,300 per tola today against Rs 93,900 yesterday.    

Patron Council assigned responsibility for holding NRNA election   

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assigned the responsibility of holding the election of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) to the Patron Council as per the NRNA statute amidst uncertainty over its 10th International General Assembly.

KMC to administer COVID-19 vaccines at four transit points  

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started vaccination campaign against COVID-19 at four main transit points – Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwor and New Bus Park. The campaign will last for a month.   

Three minors killed in fire 

Three minors were killed when fire broke out at Jhankritol of Sursingh village, Helambu Rural Municipality-7 in the district. The casualties occurred as fire gutted the cowshed of local Sancha Tamang.

Construction of the Kohalpur-Surkhet 132 KV power transmission line has been stalled due to the delay in forwarding the process authorizing the project to cut down trees along the right of way of the transmission line.    

Four companies shortlisted for Nepal's satellite installation

Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) shortlisted the four out of eight international companies that had presented technical and financial proposal last month.

NC's regional convention kicks off from today

Of the total 165 House of Representatives constituencies, regional convention of NC was already held in 16 constituencies, shared NC's central election committee. NC central office's information officer Keshav Rijal shared that they were informed that votes were cast, nomination and voting was determined and efforts were underway for unanimous election.
