Bhaktapur, Nov 23 : Ten health posts in Suryabinayak Municipality of Bhaktapur have been given oxygen concentrators. Guardians of the Angeles (GDA), the US-based charitable organisation, in support of the Volunteers Nepal national group, provided an oxygen concentrator each to ten health facilities, according to Municipality social development committee coordinator and ward 8 chair Kiran Thapa. Each device is worth around Rs 1.2 million, it is said.
COVID-19 pandemic has taught a great lesson that a robust health system is a must to face the public health crisis at any time and the availability of such device would strengthen the health mechanism at the local level. Municipality public health section chief Basanta Chapagain assured proper utilization of the devices.
