NHRC urges stakeholders to ensure transitional justice

Most justices conduct hearing at SC

Most of the Justices given assignment conducted a hearing on all sorts of cases including habeas corpus at Supreme Court on Sunday. Chief Justice Cholendra Sumser JB Rana allocated the hearing to the Justices.

Govt committed to upgrading hospital, providing quality treatment: Health Minister   

Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada has said the government has the goal of upgrading the hospitals under the management of federal and province governments.    

CPN (US) inducted in Province 2 government   

The Council of Ministers in the Province 2 has been expanded with the participation of the CPN (Unified Socialist) in the government. Two ministers from the lately formed party have been inducted in the government and they assumed office from today after taking oath of office and secrecy.    

Hearings on all types of cases assigned at SC

Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana today has assigned benches to hear all types of cases including the habeas corpus ones. He has assigned hearings for 334 cases in ten benches (nine division and one single). He has however not assigned hearing for himself. However, hearing has not started.    

29 injured in Dang bus accident 

At least 29 people have been injured in a bus accident in Dang district. A total of 29 passengers were injured when a bus heading to Kathmandu from Surkhet met with the accident at Lamahi Municipality-3, Narayanpur, according to the Ward Police Office, Lamahi.
