Bartaula elected chair of Japan People's Progressive Forum   

The eighth convention of the Nepali Jana Pragatisheel Manch, Japan Kanto Regional Committee, a sister organization of the CPN (Maoist Center), has elected Gokarna Bartaula as chair of the Forum. The convention held in Tokyo on Saturday unanimously elected a 21-member committee led by Bartaula.    

Motorcycle rider killed in accident 

A man has died in a motorcycle accident at Bodebarsain Municipality-7 in Saptari district last night. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sahajad Alam, 23, of Banauli in Khadak Municipality-11 of the district, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafle.    

Tourist arrival on the rise in Kanchanjanga area  

The number of tourists arriving in the world's third highest mountain, Kanchanjanga region is increasing. Deserted for almost two years due to COVID-19, the region is gradually seeing an increase in domestic and foreign tourists this year.  

Price of mutton goes up in Surkhet  

The price of mutton has gone up in Surkhet. According to the Surkhet Meat Entrepreneurs' Association, the price of goat meat has been increased to Rs 900 per kg from Rs 800 per kg. This price will be applicable from today (Sunday).

Federal civil service act to be introduced through ordinance-Minister Shrestha
