Madhyapur Thimi launches ‘Night Heritage Walk’ to promote tourism

The Madhyapur Thimi Municipality in Bhaktapur has launched the ‘Night Heritage Walk’ under the Destination Madhyapur Campaign. The night tour aims to promote cultural and historic heritages in this ancient city.   

Transport Office Ilam prepares to issue driving license   

The Transport Management Service Office, Ilam has first time proceeded towards the distribution of driving license since its establishment some seven years ago.      According to Office Chief Chhabilal Khatiwada, they have been granted permission by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to issue the driving license.

NC's election constituency-level convention begins  

The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its convention in 149 constituencies of the House of Representatives (HoR) today. Of the 165 constituencies, 16 HoR constituencies of the party already organised their convention, the party's central election committee said.  

UML calls SC meeting   

The CPN (UML) has called its Standing Committee (SC) meeting at 3:00 this afternoon. The meeting is expected to hold discussions on some agendas including the nomination of five percent representatives for the party's upcoming 10th national general convention. The party is nominating five percent of the total 1,999 representatives for the general convention. 

NC organising convention in Kathmandu's 10 constituencies today   

The Nepali Congress (NC) is organising its convention in all 10 election constituencies in Kathmandu district today, a part of the party's 14th general convention.    

Agrawal elected Chair of Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry   

Lalu Prasad Agrawal has been elected the Chairperson of Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry by securing 746 votes.     Ramesh Kumar Sah and Durga Nanda Prasad Sah were elected as the vice-chairpersons while Amrit Kumar Sancheti won the election for the post of general secretary, the chief election commissioner Ram Kumar Yadav said.    

Baitadi jeep accident: Death toll reaches six  

The death toll from Baitadi jeep accident occurred at Dasharathchand Municipality-4 last night reached six.     The jeep (Ma 1 Ja 310) was carrying the people attending a wedding ceremony from Dehimadau to Simayal of the municipality in the district.
