Rajbiraj, Nov 22 : Lalu Prasad Agrawal has been elected the Chairperson of Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry by securing 746 votes.
Ramesh Kumar Sah and Durga Nanda Prasad Sah were elected as the vice-chairpersons while Amrit Kumar Sancheti won the election for the post of general secretary, the chief election commissioner Ram Kumar Yadav said.
Surendra Bimal won the election for the post of secretary while Pramod Kumar Kabra and Nirmal Mundhada were elected as the treasurer and joint treasurer, respectively. Other members elected in the executive committee are Santosh Sinha, Sachindra Das, Surendra Sah, Kamal Prasad Sah, Sanjaya Purbeli, Dilip Prasad Gupta and Ambika Dahal.
Of the total 1,322 voters, 1,161 voters cast their votes to elected new executive committee in the 11th general convention.
After his election as the chair, Agrawal said that the government should ensure subsidy to the business community to ensure economic prosperity in the country.
