Four-year-old dead, two severely hurt in road accident  

A four-year-old girl was killed in a road accident at Thade of Rasuwa along the Pasang Lhamu Highway last evening. The deceased has been identified as Naina Ghale of Thade of Gosaikunda rural municipality-6. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Devendra Pandey, a jeep (Na 1 Ja 6176) en route to Dhunche from Kathmandu knocked her down, killing on the spot.

A cyclist died after falling from a bridge over the Lokaha rivulet in Kawaswoti along the East-West Highway.    

NC’s 14th general convention: Chand elected as Baitadi district President   

Chatur Bahadur Chand has been elected the President of Nepali Congress (NC) Baitadi. According to the vote count resulst made public this morning, Chand defeated his close contender Shivaraj Bhatta by 320 vote difference.
