Nine deaths from COVID-19 in State 1 in 24 hour   

State 1 has recorded more nine deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hour, taking the death toll to 112 so far.     The total 654 infection cases (413 men and 241 women) took place of swab tests of 1,646 people, said the Ministry of Social Development of the State.    

Two die in motorcycle collision in Saptari

Two persons were killed when two motorcycles collided at Banauli in Khadak municipality-11 in Saptari district on Thursday night. The deceased have been identified as Hakim Rain, 30, of Dakneshowri municipality-10 and Naresh Sah, 29, of Khadak municipality-11.

The number of active COVID-19 infection cases has reached 1,821 in Gandaki State.

Man dies of COVID-19 in Banke   

A COVID-19 infected man died in Banke the today morning. The deceased man, 33, of Chaurjahari Municipality in Rukum district died at Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur in course of treatment.     

APF Nepal setting up seven more BOPs in Jhapa  

The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has expanded its security presence in areas in the district adjoining the West Bengal and Bihar states of India.    

Coronavirus infection increasing among army and police personnel 

Twenty-two army personnel and 14 Nepal Police personnel tested positive for the infection on Thursday alone. Before this, the infection was confirmed in 18 soldiers of the No. 23 Brigade of Nepali Army and in 12 others at Arjunban battalion at Ghodabandhe. 

Three persons die from coronavirus for lack of ICU service in different districts

In all cases, the patients needed medical intervention in the ICU but all the ICU in every COVID-19 Hospitals and other health facilities here were occupied with the alarming rise on the COVID-19 cases in these districts lately.

An infected woman staying in home isolation dies in Saptari

A 46-year-old woman of Barmajhiya Mahadevpatti in Kanchanrup Municipality-2 succumbed to the infection at 5:00 this morning, said Narayan Prasad Raut, senior malaria inspector at Health Office, Saptari.

1,934 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kathmandu Valley

In 16,598 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,935 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Two of the same family succumb to COVID-19 in Kavre

Two of the same family in Sanga, Banepa Municipality-13 succumbed to the novel coronavirus in the gap of 10 days. Kavre Health Office informed that a total of 12 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in Kavre until now.

Services at Pokhara Metropolis shut   

The Pokhara Metropolitan City has stopped providing all services except the most essential ones after coronavirus infection was confirmed in some of its employees.    

Two COVID-19 infected men die in Dharan  

The deceased—a 58-year-old man of Gautam Path in Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-9 in Sunsari district and a 49-year-old man of Dangpa-1 in Terhathum district—were treated at the corona hospital at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).    

Two coronavirus infected die in Morang

Two persons receiving treatment at the Koshi Hospital (Covid-19) Treatment Centre have died. They are a 50-year-old male from Biratnagar Metropolitan City, ward no 5 and a 66-year-old man from Dharan-15, Sunsari, Chief Manager of the Centre, Gyan Bahadur Basnet, said.    

People's faith increasing towards State government: Chief Minister Rai   

State-1 government Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has said people's faith was increasing towards the state government.      He said this while releasing a book on the mid-term review of the state government here on Wednesday.

Border outpost set up at Tatopani  

The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has set up a border outpost at Tatopani, the transit point in north Sindhupalchok bordering with China. The BOP came into operation from Wednesday.    

Heritage reconstruction moving steadily

Reconstruction works of the cultural heritage, monuments, religious places, which were damaged in the 2015 earthquake, are moving at a steady pace. Gorkha earthquake had damaged 753 heritages across the country, of which 444 have been completed so far, historic Ranipokhari being one of them.
