Dharan, Oct 15 : Two COVID-19 infected people have died in Dharan.
The deceased—a 58-year-old man of Gautam Path in Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-9 in Sunsari district and a 49-year-old man of Dangpa-1 in Terhathum district—were treated at the corona hospital at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
Both of them died on Wednesday night. The 58-year-old deceased was in home-isolation after the BPKIHS lacked the intensive care unit for him to get admitted at that time, said Ratna Katawal, ward chair of the sub metropolis-9, adding that he was taken to the hospital after his health worsened on that night.
Likewise, another deceased, who was admitted to the hospital on October 11 after showing symptoms, was tested positive for the infection on October 12. The hospital lacks ICUs and ventilators, thus creating difficulties for the infected people, said the hospital.
