A person has died in a road accident that took place on the Pokhara-Baglung road section last night. Tara BK,26, a resident of Dhampus in Machapuchre rural municipality-7, Kaski died in the incident.

One more infected has died of Corona Virus in the district. A 75-year-old woman from ward no. 1 of Bharatpur sub-metropolis died this morning at the Chitwan medical college hospital, Bharatpur.   

Two die of Corona Virus is Bheri, 20 severely ill  

Two more people undergoing treatment at the Bheri hospital died last night. An 84-year-old man of Traffic Chowk in ward no. 10 of Nepal Sub-metropolis and 71-year-old woman of Kohalpur municipality ward no. 8 died in course of treatment, said corona focal person of Health Office, Banke Naresh Shrestha. 

12 members of a looting racket held

Police have busted a big racket of robbers, arresting a dozen of those, involved in cheating over millions of rupees from several individuals through fake US dollars exchange scheme in the past nine years. Organising a press conference at the premises of the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, on Friday, the arrested individuals were made public alongside the items seized from them including cash, mobile phones and motorcycles.

COVID-19 update: new cases 5008, tally surges to 1,05,684

"In 19,320 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 5009 persons were found to have been infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in the regular press briefing today.

COVID-19 affecting mental health of one in two people

A study of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) shows that COVID-19 is affecting mental health of one in two people. According to the survey carried out by the ICRC in seven countries, half of the respondents, 51 per cent people were found to have negative affect on their mental health. According to the report, “The greatest need was to be listened to the importance of mental health and psychosocial support during COVID-19.”

Kasthamandap reconstruction going on smoothly
