By Madhusudan Timilsina, Kavre, Oct. 15: Two of the same family in Sanga, Banepa Municipality-13 succumbed to the novel coronavirus in the gap of 10 days.
The 45-year-old younger brother died on October 4 while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital while the 50-year-old elder brother breathed his last on Wednesday, October 14 at the same hospital.
The 50-year-old COVID-19 patient was admitted to the hospital on September 13. He was also suffering from diabetes.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sishir Banjara of Banepa isolation informed that a 77-year-old male of Banepa-7, who died at home, was later found to be COVID-19 positive. He was suffering from Kidney disease and had given his swab sample for the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at Dhulikhel Hospital before undergoing dialysis.
Kavre Health Office informed that a total of 12 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in Kavre until now.
