1,934 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kathmandu Valley

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 15: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed 1,935 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 16,598 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,935 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 1,935 new cases, 1,692 were detected in Kathmandu, 134 were found in Bhaktapur and  108 were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 3,749 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 121,745 including 84,518 cases of recoveries and 694 death cases.
