Nepali Congress Kathmandu municipal Convention is being held today. The Central Election Committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been directed to hold ward and municipal conventions in the districts where active membership has been finalized.

School closed following increasing cases of viral fever 

Some schools in Ropla district have been closed again within few days of resumption of physical classes.     Nepal Rastriya Secondary School, a school located at Sunchhahari-6, has been closed after cases of viral fever increased in the school, said school principal, Dhan Bahadur Pun.

Female rhino found dead in Chitwan National Park 

A female rhinoceros has been found dead on the bank of the Rewakhola stream at Madi area under the Chitwan National Park. The dead body of the animal of around 10 years was spotted at 12 noon on Monday at a spot one and half kilometre to the south-east of the National Park's Dhowa Post, Chief Conservation Officer Ananath Baral said.

Statues of porcupine made at Dumsichaur in Tanahun

The statues have been made to reflect the identity of the place as it is named ‘Dumsichaur’ (porcupine ground) and a large number of porcupines roam in and around the area. After the construction of the statues, the number of domestic tourists visiting the place has shot up.

NMC election on November

The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) is scheduled to hold its elections from November 19 and 20 outside Kathmandu Valley and on 26 and 27 in Kathmandu Valley.

Six persons killed due to drowning in Saptari in five days  

Six persons have been killed due to drowning in ponds in the district in a period of five days. With this, a total of 15 people have been killed after they drowned in the district so far in the current fiscal year, 2021/22 that started July 16 this year.
