Godavari, Oct 1 : Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Trilochan Bhatta, has said the senior citizens have made important contribution to the economic transformation of society through their knowledge, skills and experience.
Chief Minister Bhatta stated this in a message of best wishes he gave today on the occasion of the 31st International Day of the Older Persons. On the occasion, he said the older persons' knowledge, skills and experiences should be internalized and mobilized for the economic transformation and development of society.
CM Bhatta stated that the Province government is oriented towards creating an environment conducive for transferring the skills, knowledge and experiences of the senior citizens to the new generation while also mobilizing the same for the socio-economic transformation of the country.
He has mentioned that the government has implemented various programmes and also been providing services and facilities to the senior citizens, giving importance to their honour and social security.
The Chief Minister also urged all the citizens of the province to promote the age-old culture and custom of honouring the older people.
