The DDA, during market monitoring, slapped prohibition against sale and distribution of the two types of medicines produced by Lomus Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, DDA director general Narayan Prasad Dhakal said.    

Two killed in separate road accidents 

A pedestrian was killed when a vehicle knocked him down at Khahare of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 in the wee hours today. The District Police Office Chitwan confirmed the death of the person of around 25 years on the spot in the mishap that occurred at 3.30 am today. The name and address of the deceased is not ascertained yet.

   64 held for not wearing face mask  

Police here have arrested 64 persons for not wearing face mask. They were walking carefree though the government had strictly ruled everyone to compulsorily wear masks while walking outside home. The circular was made in the wake of the growing coronavirus cases across the country.    

Three dead in separate accidents   

Police confirmed that a vehicle helper died when a Nissan Van met with an accident at Banepa municipality-4, Shera in Kavrepalanchowk on Tuesday.

Hotel Association urges BFIs not to pile mental pressure for loan re-payment   

The Western Regional Hotel Association Pokhara has urged banks and financial institutions not to follow up for the repayment of principal and interest of the loan when the tourism sector has been invariably affected due to protracted lockdown against COVID-19.     The Association came up with the request drawing attention to the follow-up of banks and financial institutions to the tourism and hotel sector for re-payment of loan in view of closing of the current fiscal year.    

Officer providing citizenship to Indian national remanded to custody   

Former administrative officer in Jhapa, Suresh Acharya, has been remanded to custody in accusation of his involvement in conferring Nepali citizenship to an Indian national based on fake documents.    

One dies in motorcycle accident  

A person died and another one got injury in the motorcycle accident occurred at Gangate of Bidur Municipality-5 in Nuwakot last night. Motorcyclist Thakur Adhikari, 21, from Bidur Municipality-3 died after the accident, said Chief of Traffic Police in the district, Bikal Bhattarai, adding that Adhikari was heading to Debhighat from Battar bazaar.

CIB arrests two guilty in check bounce case 

The Nepal Police's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Sunday arrested fugitives in the banking fraud case.      Rajman Sunar of Naya Bazar of Kathmandu metropolis-6 and Bishwa Mardan Basnet, 41, of Tarakeshwor municipality who were convicted of the crime by the High Court Patan on March 4 had been absconding since the court verdict.

One killed in lightning in Bajura 

An 8-year-old child was killed in lightning at Bhaisikharka of Budhi Nanda Municipality in the district last night.     The deceased has been identified as Dipesh Bohora. According to a local Indra Bohora, the child was at home while lightning struck there.   

People in quarantine on the decline

The number of people staying in quarantine centres has been decreasing. As of last Thursday, the number of people quarantined in the eight districts of the State has gone down to 3,770. There are 455 quarantine centres in the State. 

Quarantine facility in Kathmandu lacks basic facilities  

A quarantine facility at Jaharsinghpauwa in Shankharapur municipality in Kathmandu is devoid of basic facilities like electricity and decent accommodation, the facility users complained.
