Home Minister and Finance Minister discuss about election budget

During the meeting that took place at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the two primarily discussed the budget for transport and logistics management for security bodies (Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force) in the election, according to Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division chief, joint-secretary Dr Bhisma Kumar Bhusal. As said by Bhusal, the Home Ministry is expected to estimate the budget towards current expenditures also till Thursday and send it to the Finance Ministry.

Govt committed to create investment climate: PM

The Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) has decided to permit the Central Electronics Limited (CEL) of India to conduct the feasibility study for 350 Megawatt solar energy projects in Doti and Dadeldhura districts in Sudurpaschim Province. A meeting of the IBN chaired by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday approved the feasibility study of the project with an estimated cost of Rs. 23 billion. The CEL is an Indian government-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Works to construct tunnel of Myagdikhola hydro begins

Tunnel construction work in the 25-MW Myagdikhola Hydropower Project in Darbang of Myagdi Malika Rural Municipality, West Myagdi, has begun. The construction of the secondary tunnels to reach the main tunnel has started using explosives under the supervision and management of the Nepal Army, said Binod Kunwar, chairman of Kalika Hydropower Private Limited, which is the promoter of the project.
