99% COVID-19 cases in Nepal asymptomatic, 97% imported

Almost 99 per cent of the COVID-19 cases in Nepal are asymptomatic and of them 97 per cent are imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) “Of the around 16,000 infected cases so far, 99 per cent have no symptoms. They are infected, but they do not show symptoms, so we have taken this as a different scenario from many other countries,” said Dr. Bashudev Pandey, Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) of MoHP.

According to a local official Dhaniram Neupane, the households were displaced after their homes fell into high risk of being buried in landslide with constant rainfall weakening the sloppy land above. Melamchi water sent to tunnel for testing, regular supply in 2 months

Water of the Melamchi River was sent to the recently completed tunnel of the Melamchi Water Supply Project (MWSP) on Sunday morning.
