NC will contest polls alone: Gurung

Nepali Congress (NC) vice president Dhanraj Gurung has said that the party will contest the upcoming general elections alone. Speaking at the office assuming programme of the newly elected district committee in Syangja on Sunday, Gurung said that NC would emerge as the first party by contesting the polls without forging alliance.

Fire toll figures of past nine months: 45 lives lost, 242 hurt

Poll code of conduct in effect from today

The Election Commission (EC) has implemented Code of Conduct, 2016 to all the concerned authorities and officials for the National Assembly (NA) election effective from Monday. Elections to 19 NA seats are being held on January 26.
