TU Service Commission receives over 12 thousand applications for 574 seats

On December 1 (2019), the TU Service Commission had announced vacancies for several 574 posts under the administration service, seeking to fill up the posts through open competition. As it said, it has received 12,233 applications for the demanded posts till the deadline that had ended on January 4.

Bill boards being removed focusing on five areas where VIPs commute

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has intensified works on removing the advertising materials including billboards, focusing on five areas frequently commuted by VIPs.     Such materials which have spoiled the beauty of the city are being removed at Baneshwar, areas around Tribhuvan International Airport, Koteshwar, Tripureshwar and Jamal-Lainchaur by mobilizing teams.    

Visit Nepal Year promotional programmes held internationally 

The Visit Nepal Year-2020 has been inaugurated internationally.     The promotional programmes to this regard have so far been organised in Beijing of China, Doha of Qatar, Pretoria of South Africa, Ottawa of Canada, Paris of France and Cairo of Egypt.

Rain brings happiness, as well as sorrow 

The recent rainfall leading to a dip in the mercury has brought both happiness and sadness here. The light drizzle last Friday and Saturday made the farmers very happy. The rain is expected to help harness their winter crops.

Sugar mill to come into operation today  

The Mahalaxmi Sugar Mills in Bagadaha of Gaudaita municipality-6 will come into operation from today. The Mills is resuming its operation after the Proprietor Birendra Kanaudia deposited the due amount of sugarcane farmers in the bank on Tuesday.    

Chand group Nuwakot secretary arrested   

The district secretary of the banned Netra Bikra Chand-led group Bintosh Silwal 'Ashok' has been arrested. He was arrested from Kathmandu, according to District Police Office, Nuwakot.
