With the disruption of all networks of Nepal Telecom, Mugu district has been left out of communications for four days. The radio link of telecom tower at Danphe Lek of Jumla conked out after heavy snowfall, resulting in disruption in communications.

The stone crusher industries run without meeting the standard here have been asked to shut down operation.          The three days ultimatum given to Dhaneshwori Crusher Industry at Khadpu of Panauti municipality-5 has been over.

Laws on time to deepen federalism: CM Rai 

Chief Minister of State-1, Sherdhan Rai, has said timely promulgation of laws was imperative to deepen federalism. At an interaction organized by Nepal Administrative Staff College on inter-state relations here Monday, CM Rai viewed a well-functioning State means effective federalism.    

'One village-one industry' policy to come into practice: Minister Bhatta 

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Lekharaj Bhatta, has said government was enforcing 'one village-one industry' policy soon. At a programme organized by Chure rural municipality of Kailali to distribute blankets to the helpless and senior citizens, Minister Bhatta argued that the 'one village-one industry' policy was for elevating the livelihood of rural people.   

Over 1,000 shelters to be constructed for dalits in Siraha and Saptari

Office Chief Krishna Dev Jha said 666 houses would be constructed for the needy people belonging to the Dom and Mushahar communities in Saptari district and 766 houses in Siraha district.

Woman succumbs to wild bees' bite

A woman was stung to death by a swarm of wild bees in eastern Chitwan on Sunday afternoon.     The deceased has been identified as Thagiya Tharuni, 76, of Beltandi, Ratnanagar municipality-9. A swarm of bees suddenly approached her while she was at her home, biting her and leaving severely injured.    

Rapti Academy of Health Sciences starts new and more services 

As parts of its specialized and extended services, the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences has started pediatric service with specialist doctors and medical officers. The pediatric unit was commenced after the specialists including Dr Netra Prasad Banjade joined the Academy, an official at the Academy, Jhankar Lamichhane said.         

Bhanu Zoological Garden in Tanahun: DPR in the making  

The Bhanu Zoological Garden to be set up in 425 hectares of some parts of Vyas and Bhanu municipalities in Tanahun district is likely to directly affect at total of 126 households. So far, 912 ropani land in the affected area is acquired while the detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared with Rs 20 million allocated, officials said.
