Narayangadh-Mugling road to close for traffic 

The Narayagadh-Muglin road will remain closed during the day today and tomorrow. The road remains closed from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm every day for work related to landslide control in various points of the road.

Two arrested with fake Nepali currency notes

Police have arrested two persons with fake Nepali currency notes from Birtamod municipality-5 of Jhapa.     They are Surendra Yonghang, 54, of Birtamod municipality-5 and Kiran Khawas, 25, of Belbari municipality-4 of Morang district, according to Area Police Office, Anarmani.

Nepal's junior badminton player Prince Dahal is in the 14th position in the world ranking of badminton players announced by the World Badminton Federation today.     Prince has improved in the ranking climbing four notches to 14th position from the 18th.

One dead, five hurt in accident   

A Scorpio jeep met with an accident at Laxmipur of Haripur municipality-6 in Sarlahi along the Nawalpur-Malangawa road section this morning, killing one on the spot and leaving five others injured.

A census of birds at all national parks, reserves and protected areas of the nation has begun. Although the census was said to be started from Saturday, it began from Monday due to unfavourable weather.  

VNY being launched in Australia

Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 is being launched internationally from Sydney, Australia, today. The VNY Secretariat informed that the international inaugural of VNY was being organized by Nepali Embassy in Australia and Non-Resident Nepalis' Association.
