Kathmandu, Jan 7 : Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 is being launched internationally from Sydney, Australia, today. The VNY Secretariat informed that the international inaugural of VNY was being organized by Nepali Embassy in Australia and Non-Resident Nepalis' Association.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, has reached Sydney to inaugurate the event. He is scheduled to inaugurate the VNY amidst a grand function.
Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the VNY in Kathmandu on January 1. Similarly, all seven States launched the VNY on the same day across the country.
The government has aimed at bringing in 2 million tourists in 2020 and amplified promotional activities in the country and abroad.
