The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has fined the Katuwal Stores at Imadol Rs 200 thousand for selling salt to consumers for higher price than the declared price.

Relief materials have been distributed to around 8,000 households in Bardiya district. According to the District Administration Office, Bardiya, the relief materials were distributed to 7,965 families till today.    

Around 78,000 metric tonnes of food stuffs imported   

A total of 78,000 metric tonnes of food stuffs have been imported in 29 days after the beginning of lockdown. According to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, 77,578 metric tonnes of food stuffs were imported from March 24 to April 22.     Similarly, readymade medicines worth Rs 976 million rupees and raw materials for medicines worth Rs 219 million were also imported in this period.    

Stranded workers rescued, reached home   

Workers stranded at various places due to ongoing lockdown were rescued and reached their homes from Kaski district.     Pokhara metropolitan city and other concerned bodies had coordinated to collect the list of stranded workers will to return homes and managed vehicles for the same.    

88 per cent progress made in reconstruction of private houses   

Eighty eight per cent progress has been made in the reconstruction of private houses ever since the Gorkha Earthquake five years back, the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) stated.
