Pokhara, April 23 : Workers stranded at various places due to ongoing lockdown were rescued and reached their homes from Kaski district.
Pokhara metropolitan city and other concerned bodies had coordinated to collect the list of stranded workers will to return homes and managed vehicles for the same.
The concerned bodies including Pokhara metropolitan city initiated to rescue the labourers and other people after the Prime Minister made directions to this regard. The Metropolitan city arranged vehicles to 215 labourers to take them to their respective districts on Wednesday.
Most of such returnees were from Dang and Rolpa districts, said chair of ward-16.
These workers were working in various developmental projects run by the State government and metropolitan city in Kaski.
Earlier, such arrangement was made to send the labourers who were from Banke, Kohalpur.
The district construction entrepreneurs committee chair Suresh Shrestha shared that they also made such arrangements to 3,200 workers to send them to their home town so far.
