Municipality distributing medicines to chronic patients

The chronic patients now would feel relief after the local government’s decision. The people suffering diabetes, high blood pressure, uric acid, and liver, kidney and heart problems are provided medicines for free, Mayor Dambar Bahadur Aryal said. The medicine distribution started from Melalmchi-7 today.

COVID-19 test kit shortage hits Bajhang 

Bajhang district is facing a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and kits for coronavirus test. There is a paucity of coronavirus kits at a time when 675 people who are in quarantine need to undergo the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) for coronavirus.

Two dengue cases have been found in Myagdi district on Wednesday, taking the number of dengue cases in the district to seven. Rising dengue cases indicates that this mountainous district was at risk of the tropical disease.

The Committee directed the government to carry out necessary homework by holding bilateral discussion to bring the Nepalis trapped in different places of India and border areas after Indian administration urged the Nepalis at borders to return back home.

COIVD-19 lab shut down for a week in lack of test-kit

Requisition has been made with the Ministry of Health and Population for the test-kits but to no avail, according to lab chief Dr Nitu Adhikari. He added that the works in the lab have been affected in absence of the kits.

103 vehicles attempting to enter Kathmandu Valley returned from entry point

A total of 103 vehicles trying to enter the Kathmandu Valley without vehicle permit during the ongoing lockdown were returned from the entry point on Tuesday. Those with essential supplies, however, have been allowed the entry.
