MCC compact will be implemented only after parliamentary endorsement: FM Khatiwada

Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has clarified that the budget and programme related to the United States-funded Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact would come into implementation only after the parliamentary endorsement.    

Lack of isolation wards hits hard COVID-19 risk management in Mahottari   

  Mahottari district has come across a short of isolation wards to deal with increasing number of COVID-19 infected people. Jaleshwor district hospital has possessed a 15-bed isolation ward to deal with 28 infected people admitted to the hospital. Among the infected people, 19 had tested positive for the virus through PCR and nine through RDT.

Twelve people killed in bus-truck collision   

Twelve people have died and 21 others have sustained injuries in a road accident occurred last night on the East-West highway at Rapti Sonari rural municipality of Banke district. The mishap took place in Thuriya forest of Rapti Sonari rural municipality-2. The injured are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital Nepalgunj.
