Karnali State government's policy and programmes passed 

The Karnali State Assembly has passed the state government's policy and programmes. The eighth meeting of the Assembly's sixth session passed the policy with a majority on Tuesday.   

Government recommends Counsellors and Labour Attaché

The government has recommended various individuals for appointment as Counsellor (Labour) and Labour Attaché to the countries in the Gulf region, Malaysia and South Korea. A large number of Nepalis have been working in these countries.    

Private sector calls for making economy functional 

Representatives of various private sector organisations, including the Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN), have urged the government to make arrangements for making the economy functional.

The people of Susta have called for clearly specifying the Susta area in the new political and administrative map of Nepal recently endorsed by the government.

Man returned from India dies in quarantine

The man was taken to at the hospital after he complained difficulty in respiration. Health section chief of the Purbakhola Rural Municipality, Mohan Gyawali, shared that the person was earlier kept at quarantine in Tansen from Sunday night and shifted to another quarantine of Purbakhola on Monday.

NRB brings refinancing work procedure, 2077

The loan would be provided in three category- small and cottage industries, special and common industries. For the purpose of small and cottage industries, the central bank will provide finance to the bank and financial institutions at 2 percent, while the intermediary will provide loan at 5 percent.

Government presents annual report to NA

The government has presented its annual report of the fiscal year 2075-76 BS to the National Assembly.     Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe presented the report prepared as per the Article 53 of the Constitution before the NA session today.

Country to see partial impact of another cyclone

Nepal is likely to see an influence of another Cyclone predicted to be developed from the southeast Arabian Sea by wee hours tomorrow. The low pressure system based in the Arabian Sea is moving towards the north.    

26-point action plan devised to ease returnees from third countries 

The government has formulated a 26-point special action plan to ease the Nepali nationals who want to return home due to critical situation stemming from the global pandemic of coronavirus. The Council of Ministers meeting on 25 May had approved the action plan.
