Three people including local level official held for vandalising police post 

Three people including a ward chairperson have been arrested on the charge of vandalising a temporary police post at Chhiwang Jiyula, Musikot municipality-14 in Rukum Paschim. 

Guidelines on isolation introduced

The 'COVID-19 case isolation management guidelines, 2077' was endorsed on June 2 and issued today. Accordingly, only the patients that require hospital-based treatment including ventilator will be admitted to the dedicated hospitals.

Experts suggest resuming socio-economic activities

In a consultation hosted by Prime Minster KP Sharma Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar today, they said measures should be adopted to provide treatment to the COVID-19 infected making proper use of the limited resources, while also focusing on public sensitization against the deadly virus. They suggested strategies that could help gradually resume socio-economic activities in the country.

At least 15 people were injured when two parties engaged in a scuffle over the land issue at Hatigaun of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality in Saptari today.

Consumers have complained of price hike of daily essentials such as rice, pulse, flour and edible oil when the nationwide lockdown against coronavirus has been in force since March 24.

Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has said the cases of COVID-19 have already exceeded 2,000 in the country. So, only those infected ones requiring oxygen and ventilator support will be admitted to hospitals.    

  Man hacked to death in Kapilvastu 

A person was hacked to death at Harnampur of Kapilvastu Municipality-9 last night. Police have identified the dead as local Shyam Narayan Tiwari of around 45 years of age.

Health worker assaulted, critically injured  

A group of three persons has attacked assistant health worker Ramesh Kunwar. Kunwar who works at the Dankot Health Post at Shikhar municipality-9 of the district has sustained serious injuries in the attack. He was assaulted by three people who appeared to be drunk.     Kunwar was going to the health post carrying medical goods.
