HoR deliberation: NC insists on collaboration for national resolution  

In a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) spoke for the need of all parties coming together and making a national resolution to fulfill responsibilities towards the people.  

Ward chair arrested with bribe money

Ward Chair of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-7 in the district has been arrested today. Chair Devendra Pun was arrested on the charge of taking bribe from timber entrepreneur.  

20 arrested on charge of theft

Weather to improve from Sunday   

Weather across the country will be improving from Sunday. Country's weather has remained affected due to influence of local wind, westerly winds and the formation of a low pressure system in the wake of Cyclone Nisarga from the Arabian Sea.    

   3 billion investment post-lockdown

Investment worth almost Rs. 3 billion has been received from home and abroad in various industries in the past one month of the lockdown period. Four domestic and 11 foreign industries in the country got investment worth Rs. 2.74 billion in the past one month, according to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.  

  One dies in quarantine

A person has died in quarantine set up at Khaptad Chededaha Rural municipality-7. The 65-year-old person staying in quarantine had returned from India two weeks back.    

19 health workers quarantined 

Regular service at the District Hospital in Baitedi remains affected since the past three days. The service has been affected after 19 health workers were quarantined, after a woman who delivered at the hospital, tested positive in a RDT test carried out for Corona Virus. 

Landslide obstructs Bhimfedi-Kulekhani road   

The Bhimfedi-Kulekhani road section of the Hetauta-Kathmandu road has been obstructed following a landslide. Landslide that occurred this morning on the road at ward no. 6 of Bhimfedi rural municipality has halted traffic, according to Area Police Office, Bhimfedi police inspector Ram Balak Raya.   

Swab collection halted in Sudur Paschim 

Throat swab collection for testing Corona Virus has been stopped in the Sudur Paschim State. The collection was stopped after the only laboratory to test COVID-19 in Dhangadi received swab samples more than its capacity.
