COVID-19: Nepalis' death come to a halt

The increasing trend of Nepalis falling victim to Corona Virus outside the country has come to a halt. No deaths were reported last week, according to Non-resident Nepalis Association.    

Corona Virus infected dies in Gulmi   

A corona virus infected person has died last night. A resident of ward no. 4 in Dhurkot rural municipality, the 36-year-old man died at the isolation room in Tamghas hospital, according to Dr Kabiraj Bhusal.  

Bus park submerged in flood water   

Property worth millions of rupees have been destroyed due to floods triggered by heavy rainfall in Chunbang Bhume rural municipality-9 of the district. Floods in Lakhar river have led to a damage between 2.5 to 3 million rupees in the ward.    

Farmers earn 5 million rupees from watermelon sales   

Farmers in Khuttedangi in ward no. 9 of Mechinagar municipality have earned Rs. 5 million from the sale of water melon during the lockdown.

Motorable bridge over Bijayapur river 

The construction of the motorable bridge over the Bijayapur river that links Pokhara metropolis-13 and Madi rural municipality-5 has reached the final phase. The bridge located along the Sikles-Dudhpokhari road section is being built with an investment of Rs. 56.5 million from the federal government.    

Three dead, six missing in landslide   

Three people have died in a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Dhakalbari of Durlung, in ward no. 3 of Kusma municipality last night. Six others have gone missing after being buried by the landslide.

Giri’s amendment proposal rejected   

The House of Representatives (HoR) is holding deliberation on the Constitution (2nd amendment) Bill, 2077 to include the revised map of Nepal in the country's emblem today.    

25 sets of PCR machines being purchased  

A medical supplier company, With Management, is all prepared to bring 25 sets of PCR machines. The company Chief BK Bhandari shared that with the operation of these machines, PCR could be tested on 12,000 people daily.
