Kathmandu, June 13 : The House of Representatives (HoR) is holding deliberation on the Constitution (2nd amendment) Bill, 2077 to include the revised map of Nepal in the country's emblem today.
The bill is presented to amend schedule 3 of the constitution which includes Nepal's map incorporating Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani, the territory occupied by India.
Meanwhile, lawmaker Sarita Giri of the Socialist Party asked for time to register her amendment proposal on the bill, but the Speaker rejected it.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota stated that her proposal was not in line with Clause 112 (B) of HoR Regulation 2075. So, she could not be allowed for it. Giri was seeking to register amendment proposal on the bill stating that Nepal did not have any evidences to claim these territories as her own sovereign territory.
