Swab collection stops in Siraha, increasing COVID-19 risk  

Collection of throat and nasal swab of suspected coronavirus cases has stopped in Siraha since the last two weeks, increasing the risk of further spread of COVID-19. 

Local level’s permission mandatory to enter Kathmandu valley

According to District Administration Office, Kathmandu, anyone wishing to travel to the valley should lodge an application in the district administration office of the districts concerned after getting permission from the local government.

Lawmakers call for expanding PCR test coverage   

Lawmakers have drawn the government's attention towards enhancing country's peace and security system.     Speaking in a special hour of the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting today, lawmakers Matrika Prasad Yadav and Juli Kumari Mahato demanded an investigation to the June 9 alleged suicide of a tractor driver in police custody at Sabaila Municipality in Dhanusha.   

CM Gurung expresses grief over Parbat landslide  

Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has expressed grief over the loss of lives and properties in the landslide occurred at Durlung of Kusma Municipality Ward No 3 of Parbat district.  

National resolution to bring back Nepal’s territories  

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentarian Affairs Dr Shivamaya Tumbahanpfe in today’s meeting of the National Assembly presented a proposal seeking deliberation on the Constitution of Nepal (Second Amendment) Bill-2077 along with the message from the House of Representatives. 

   140 quintal garlic produced in a single ward in Rukum Paschim 

The local farmers at Musikot Municipality-10 in Rukum Paschim district have produced over 140 quintal of garlic. Garlic farming is conducted in Jhyang, Chaur, Galampati and Chun among other villages here.    

Five more BOP set up in Kailali  

Five more border outposts (BOP) have been set up in Kailali district. They are at Bangarakatan, Jugeda, Khonpur, Hitmatpur and Sri Lanka Tapu.    

Parbat landslide: six bodies found, search for missing three continues  

The death toll in a landslide occurred here last night has reached six.     Nine people went missing in the landslide triggered by a heavy rainfall in Dhakalbari of Durlung-3 of Kusma Municipality. Among the missing, six bodies have been retrieved while a search for the remaining three goes on.  

Constitution amendment Bill tabled in NA  

The 'Constitution of Nepal (second amendment) Bill, 2077' has been tabled in the National Assembly (NA).     In today's session of the upper house, NA Secretary Rajendra Phuyal tabled the Bill received from the House of Representatives with message.
