Over 1.6 million vaccinated against COVID-19 in Sudurpaschim

Over 1.6 million people have so far got COVID-19 vaccines in the Sudurpaschim Province. According to the Province Health Directorate, one million 606 thousand 673 have received the first dose of the vaccine in all nine districts in the Province while the number of fully jabbed people is one million 104 thousand 946.

Women more prone to cancer than men in Nepal

Among the new cancer patients, the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan has recorded more women patients than men indicating the rising cases of cancer among women than men. Among the total 90,571 cancer patients availing services from the Hospital in the last fiscal year 2020/21, 4,608 were new patients. Among them, over 55 per cent were women and 45 per cent men, the Hospital said.   

Preparations afoot to inaugurate Jayanagar-Kurtha railway in 2nd or 3rd week of this month

Citizens between 62 and 64 years of age in the district are being administered booster dose vaccine against COVID-19 from today. Nearly 3,500 senior citizens of this age group will get the booster dose.
