Baglung, Feb 4 : Citizens between 62 and 64 years of age in the district are being administered booster dose vaccine against COVID-19 from today. Nearly 3,500 senior citizens of this age group will get the booster dose.
The booster dose is being given to senior citizens taking the second dose and completing six months from the date of taking the second dose, Vaccination Supervisor of the District Health Office, Raju Khattri, said.
According to him, vaccination campaign against COVID-19 is underway in all the ten local levels in the district at present. "The vaccination service is being run two days a week in all the local levels and the booster dose is also given as part of this," he said.
Khattri said all the senior citizens will be administered the booster dose in line with the government's policy and considering the availability of the vaccines in the district.
