President Bhandari wishes speedy recovery to US President Trump   

President Bidya Devi Bhandari sent a message to the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, wishing him and First Lady Melania Trump a speedy recovery.     In her message, the President stressed the importance of concrete actions to control COVID-19 and to protect health, well-being and economies during the pandemic and in its aftermath.   

Public vehicles flouting health safety measures  

The public vehicles here have been found flouting measures for health and safety despite growing spread of coronavirus across the country. A monitoring team comprising the Transport Management Office, District Administration Office and District Police Office said both the driver and passengers were reckless on adopting adequate safety measures while travelling.    

New mother dies of COVID-19 in Banke  

A new mother has died of COVID-19 in the district this morning. The 29-year-old mother from Bhimdatta Municipality-2 died at Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur, said Naresh Shrestha, corona source person at the health office, Banke.    

92% recovery on COVID-19 infected Nepalis abroad   

Of all the Nepalis infected with coronavirus abroad, 92 per cent have fully recovered normal health, according to the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA). Altogether 35,916 Nepalis in 42 countries have recovered from the coronavirus.    

100 RPP cadres join NCP  

One hundred RPP leaders and cadres including the party's Bhimdutta municipal chair Tula Bahadur Thapa have joined the ruling Nepal Communist Party.     RPP youth association central member Tejendra Aiyer, unified RPP district vice-chair Man Bahadur Karki were also among the 100 who joined the party on Saturday.    

Corona infected man dies  

A man undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur hospital has died of Corona Virus this morning. The 62-year-old of Jutapani in Kalika municipality-7 was admitted to the ICU of the hospital on October 2, according to information officer Liladhar Poudel.

     One arrested with 4 lakhs IC   

The Armed Police Force has arrested a person along with Rs. 400,000 Indian Currency illegally brought through the Krishnanagar transit point of Kapilvastu. The team lead by police inspector at the Border Outpost Niranjan Raj Karki arrested 54-year-old Pappu Gupta, a resident of Krishnanagar municipality-2 on Saturday.    

NCP decides to vote in favour of proposal   

The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to vote in favour of the proposal tabled by the State no. 5 government at the State Assembly on the name and capital of the state. The NCP also decided to issue a whip to its party members to vote in favour of the proposal registered on Friday, according to chief whip Bhumiswar Dhakal.    

51 more infected in last 24 hrs   

An additional 51 persons tested positive to Corona Virus in Karnali state on Saturday. Of them 42 were confirmed at the Karnali state hospital and nine at the Dailekh hospital laboratory, according to the Social Development Ministry's education officer Nawaraj Kandel.
