Kapilvastu, Oct 4 : The Armed Police Force has arrested a person along with Rs. 400,000 Indian Currency illegally brought through the Krishnanagar transit point of Kapilvastu. The team lead by police inspector at the Border Outpost Niranjan Raj Karki arrested 54-year-old Pappu Gupta, a resident of Krishnanagar municipality-2 on Saturday.
Acting on a special tip-off, police intercepted him and found the Indian currency. The amount was in 500 and 2000 denomination, which is worth 640,000 Nepali rupees.
Gupta will be handed over to the Inland Revenue Office, Butwal for necessary action, said police inspector Karki.
