One dies of COVID-19 in Dharan  

A COVID-19 infected person undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has succumbed to the deadly infection today morning, taking the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 40 there.

Son arrested for beating father to death 

A man has been arrested on the charge of beating his father to death. Dil Bahadur Basnet,60, a resident of Doholi in ward no. 4 of Isma rural municipality died this morning.

  DPL to be postponed 

The Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) Twenty20 Cricket tournament being held in Dhangadi annually will not be held as prescheduled. The tournament has been affected due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus pandemic.    

Academic progress first priority: VC Aryal   

Newly appointed Vice-chancellor of Pokhara University Prof Dr Prem Narayan Aryal has said that educational and academic progress of the University will be his first priority. Assuming office on Sunday, he expressed the commitment to not carry out any work outside of the policy and regulation.    

Rural municipality begins own ambulance service  

The Rupa rural municipality is to provide service to the residents through its own ambulance. Earlier, there was compulsion to call for an ambulance from Pokhara, in case there was an emergency.    

GP hospital resumes service  

The GP Koirala Respiratory Disease Treatment Centre in Belchautara in ward no. 5 of Sukhlagandaki municipality has resumed its service. Services at the hospital had remained closed since a laboratory staff tested positive to Corona Virus on October 1.

Three dead in Chisapanigadhi road accident

Spokesperson of Makawanpur District Police Office Indra Bahadur Rana said that two persons died on the spot while next one in Hetauda Hospital after a sumo van (Na 1 Ja 4106) met with an accident.
