Dharan, Oct 5 : A COVID-19 infected person undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has succumbed to the deadly infection today morning, taking the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 40 there.
The 55-year-old man from Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City ward no 15 breathed his last today at 6:45 am, according to the BPKIHS’ deputy spokesperson Dr Ashish Shrestha.
A chronic patient of kidney, the man was admitted to the COVID-19 Special Hospital on October 2. He had tested positive for the flu-like infection upon the PCR test conducted on the same day.
