Two COVID-19 infected men die in Dharan  

The deceased—a 58-year-old man of Gautam Path in Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-9 in Sunsari district and a 49-year-old man of Dangpa-1 in Terhathum district—were treated at the corona hospital at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).    

Two coronavirus infected die in Morang

Two persons receiving treatment at the Koshi Hospital (Covid-19) Treatment Centre have died. They are a 50-year-old male from Biratnagar Metropolitan City, ward no 5 and a 66-year-old man from Dharan-15, Sunsari, Chief Manager of the Centre, Gyan Bahadur Basnet, said.    

Fourteen including local government chair injured in clash   

Chairman of Surnaya Rural Municipality, Bir Bahadur Bista, has been physically assaulted over the issue of the rural municipality's centre. Chair Bista was pelted with stone when he went to remove the padlock that had been carried out by the agitating side at the Rural Municipality Office. Bista sustained injuries in his head due to this.  

People's faith increasing towards State government: Chief Minister Rai   

State-1 government Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has said people's faith was increasing towards the state government.      He said this while releasing a book on the mid-term review of the state government here on Wednesday.

Border outpost set up at Tatopani  

The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has set up a border outpost at Tatopani, the transit point in north Sindhupalchok bordering with China. The BOP came into operation from Wednesday.    

Closed industries at Hetauda industrial area resume

There are 111 industries operating at the area and approximately 10,500 people have got jobs at the industries directly or indirectly. "Some entrepreneurs have applied for lands, electricity and water to establish new industries.

Few more days for monsoon to end

Issuing a special bulletin on Wednesday, the Department said although the monsoon has ended from Sudurpaschim and Karnali States since October 1, it was yet to go away from other parts.

Home Minister requests EU to lift ban on Nepali airlines

During a meeting held at the ministry on Wednesday, Minister Thapa thanked EU for its assistance to Nepal for the development, democracy, human rights and disaster management. He also believed that EU would continue its assistance to Nepal in the days ahead.

Manthali municipality in the district has been closed after office staffs have been infected with COVID-19, said the municipality.
