Ramechhap, Oct 14 : Manthali municipality in the district has been closed after office staffs have been infected with COVID-19, said the municipality.
As a result, all service except emergency at the municipality has been halted from October 14 to 18, said the municipality mayor Ramesh Kumar Basnet. Two staffs at the municipality have been confirmed to have contracted the infection.
In the district headquarters, Manthali, infection cases have increased lately with 17 cases in a single day.
So far, the caseload in the district hit 134. Of them, 67 have got over the infection.
The district has got 2,024 people tested for the virus. There are 108-bed isolation bed and 490-bed quarantine facility in the district, according to the health office.
